A Dream or A Vision?

Category: Law of AttractionPatricia @ 8:49 am
The elevator to success is out of order. You'll have to take one step at a time.

The elevator to success is out of order. You’ll have to take one step at a time.

“The difference between a dreamer and a visionary is that the visionary takes steps to make the dream happen.” ~ Ron Fox

A vision gives you a big picture of life. It’s like a road map that guides your direction or a blueprint that shows you the steps you need to take. It helps you to get to where you want to go. A vision can give your life meaning. It can inspire you and fuel you with energy and passion. Holding a vision connects you to your destiny.

A vision can help you to focus on what is important to you. When you focus, you broadcast a clear message out into the world. You attract resources you need. You find support from others who may share your vision. You make your dreams become your reality.

Perhaps your vision is unclear. You’re uncertain about what you want. If you don’t care, it doesn’t matter much. You’ll create by default. Your life will be a reflection of what others have told you about who you are and what you should do. You will have accepted limitations and false beliefs. You will follow a path without a clear vision of where it goes. And you may not like it when you get there!

I invite you to create a vision of the life you want to live. You know the one. You’ve glimpsed it. You’ve had flashes of inspiration and bliss. It’s a life that is unique to you and you are the only one who has all the qualifications to make it an amazing success. If you are a musician, you must make music. If you are an artist, you must create. Whatever you are, you must be you. You must do it in order to be at peace with yourself.

When you are ready to take the steps from vision to reality, do this:

  1. You must define it. Begin by being specific in defining your personal vision of success. Whatever you feel you are seeking, from material goods to better interpersonal relationships, visualize it for yourself. When you have a clear definition of success, it becomes more real to you. You become comfortable with the future you are creating.
  1. You must truly want it. Get in touch with the desire, the longing that is attached to a particular goal. Allow yourself to feel all the emotions attached to this vision of success. As you imagine, bring to mind the feeling of success and accomplishment. Experience the emotional response to the outcome. When you are in touch with your feelings about your goals, you set the creative process in motion. Thought + Emotion = Physical Manifestation.
  1. You must believe it is possible. “For those who believe, no proof is necessary. For those who don’t believe, no proof is possible.” ~ John & Lyn St. Clair Thomas
  1. You must accept that it will happen. Successful change requires self-acceptance, a positive attitude and the ability to concentrate on and develop your strengths. When you tell yourself you can and will, you have taken the first step towards accomplishing what you want to accomplish. And you will find that you can and will accomplish your goal.

The Mind Matters. There is no limitation to mind power and the ability to direct it to make positive things happen. Are you ready to experience your vision? It starts with the first step.

Good Year or Bad Year?

Category: ChoicesPatricia @ 11:41 am

nye.4

“Year’s end is neither an end nor a beginning but a going on, with all the wisdom that experience can instill in us.” ~ Hall Borland

At the stroke of midnight on December 31, we designate a time for change and belief in new opportunities. A crystal ball is dropped in Times Square. Bells are rung. Corks are popped as toasts are made. Kisses and hugs abound as shouts of “Happy New Year!” are exclaimed. We let go of the year that has passed and file it into history. But before we let it go, we judge it. We may deem it to have been a “good” year because “good” things happened. Or we decide that it was a “bad” year and we are glad to see it go. We base our decisions on the events we experienced and how those events are affecting our lives right now. Our expectations, memories and perceptions tell us how to judge. They also influence how we will view the year to come. Our past thoughts and actions create our future.

The beginning of a new year is a very optimistic time of year. We accept the possibility of a new start. It’s the first day of school, the first day at a new job, a first date. We accept that anything can happen and we are eager to begin. We tell ourselves that this year we will find the love of our life; lose all our excess weight; stop all destructive habits and win the lottery! This year, we will be happy! This year will be a great year!!!

The truth is, we can set the intention to do this any time that we choose. We don’t need an arbitrary date to give ourselves permission to make a change or do something better. We can decide at any time to create a life of joy and abundance. When we enter into a place of silence and go within, we are able to receive the guidance we need. We can make decisions about how we really want to live our life. Ask yourself, “What makes me happy?” “What will make me happy today?” “What are my gifts and how shall I use them?” Then follow your heart. When you understand the answers, you will truly create the life you want to be living every day.

Since today is the first day of the rest of your life and there is no need to check a calendar to know that, I’d like to join with Neil Gaiman in making this wish for you…“I hope that in this year to come, you make mistakes.  Because if you are making mistakes, then you are making new things, trying new things, learning, living, pushing yourself, changing yourself, changing your world. You’re doing things you’ve never done before, and more importantly, you’re Doing Something.  So that’s my wish for you, and all of us, and my wish for myself. Make New Mistakes. Make glorious, amazing mistakes. Make mistakes nobody’s ever made before. Don’t freeze, don’t stop, don’t worry that it isn’t good enough, or it isn’t perfect, whatever it is: art, or love, or work or family or life.  Whatever it is you’re scared of doing, Do it.  Make your mistakes, next year and forever.”

What does it mean to “manifest”?

Category: Law of AttractionPatricia @ 1:02 pm

creation.3

Consider this… “She manifested signs of depression” – In other words…She displayed the evidence of her thoughts.  Her invisible world of negative thoughts and emotions showed up; it became visible and revealed itself to the outside world.

Or consider this…“She manifested a joyful life.”  Different thoughts create different results. All thoughts create therefore all thoughts manifest. What are you thinking?

Manifestation is the end result of creative thought. It is the reveal, the evidence, the reflection of the nature and the focus of your thoughts. It is the visible demonstration of the invisible.

Bruce Lipton is a developmental biologist in the field of behavioral epigenetics, He is known for promoting the idea that genes and DNA can be manipulated by a person’s beliefs. He says, We are today beginning to see work by very reputable scientists that says the universe is created by our observations. It is not a coincidence; we are actively involved in physically shaping the world that we experience.”

Another example…“His positive potential is manifested by his successful business” – Stated another way…He showed evidence of his thoughts. His business was proof of his potential. He established himself as a success. His business is a visible indication of his thoughts. His business is a sign of his potential, a reflection of him.

Manifestation is the physical display and presentation of your thoughts. It is the materialization, evidence and reflection of what you are thinking. Manifestation is proof – a visible reflection of the emotional and mental realms showing up in the physical world. It is the outward demonstration of your thoughts and beliefs about what you deserve and what you believe you are worthy of experiencing.

It is a symptom of your thoughts – good and bad.

This is good news! If you recognize that you are constantly in manifestation mode, you become more aware of the power of your thoughts. When you recognize your power, you use it to your advantage. You become more conscious of what you are thinking. You know that The Mind Matters!

And now for more good news! You are in control of your thoughts each and every moment. You actually make a choice about what you focus your thoughts upon. And you have the power to make a different choice if you want to create a different result or experience.

Viktor Frankl tells us, Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.”

When you think a thought – any thought, good or bad – it has the power to show up in your life. The proof could show up as catastrophic illness or vibrant health; it may manifest as overwhelming lack or great abundance. Bad thoughts can destroy relationships and careers. Good ones can create adventure and delight. You can be certain your invisible thought will become a visible reflection of itself. It’s just the way it works. You Think. You Create.

Don Miguel Ruiz tells us, “The dream you are living is your creation. It is your perception of reality that you can change at any time. You have the power to create hell, and you have the power to create heaven. Why not dream a different dream? Why not use your mind, your imagination, and your emotions to dream heaven?”

Again, I ask, what are you thinking?

The Call of the Ancestors

Category: ShamanismPatricia @ 3:36 pm

“Humankind has not woven the web of life. We are but one thread within it. Whatever we do to the web, we do to ourselves. All things are bound together. All things connect.” ~ Chief Seattle

The word “Shaman” literally means “one who knows.” Shamanism is a practice that has remained the same for thousands of years and is not part of any particular form of religion or spirituality. Since the beginning of time, certain men and women felt a calling to heal the sick; study and protect ancient knowledge; guide the lost souls; communicate with the stone people, the plant people, the animals and the spirit world. They performed rituals and ceremonies for the community and told stories to share wisdom. Today, there are those who hear the call of the ancestors and honor the way of peace.

I am a Shaman.  Initiated and trained in the nine rites of the Munay-Ki, I have received the energetic transmissions of a 30,000 year old Laika Shamanic tradition. The rites are based on the practices of the Inka and pre-Inka Shamans of the Andes and the Amazon. In the Qechua language of the Q’ero Inka nation, Munay means “to interact with the world and others through the heart consciousness”, or simply, “love”.

Shamans seek to find solutions to problems within the community, using trance, astral travel and vision quests. They have always served as teachers, mentors, and psychic guides, working with the energetic body, or Luminous Energy Field. A Shaman helps to positively dream the world into being.

As a modern Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist and a Meridian Tapping Practitioner, I use the same ancient Shamanic tools to help my clients become their ideal self – the very best version they can imagine. When I began my clinical practice more than 10 years ago, I imagined that I would build a healing center. I visualized the programs and the other healers who would work with me. I knew it would be a powerful and magical place. Even though I didn’t know how or where or when, I believed in what.

My vision has became more clear. I know where. Nestled in the Santa Monica Mountains outside of Malibu is a place we call Mount Munay. This land is blessed with a powerful positive energy vortex – a vortex on a par with those found in Sedona. I asked for the land. The land asked for me. This sacred space is being called into service to be used as a healing center for all who wish to join in the intention of infinite, unconditional love and gratitude.

I have asked my three sister Shamans to unite with me as four Earth-Keepers to act as stewards of this land. The energy from this vortex has the ability to amplify and transmit the thoughts and actions of the Healers with the intention that it will benefit the good of all. The work has begun.

Medicine Wheel atop Mt. Munay Vortex

Medicine Wheel atop Mt. Munay Vortex

As Shamans and Planetary Healers, we have taken on the task and the joy of building a Medicine Wheel. A Medicine Wheel is a place to pray, meditate or hold ceremony. It strengthens our connection to Mother Earth, Gaia, Pachamama.

Symbolizing the circle of life, the Wheel is a metaphor for eternity: there is no beginning or end; life is constantly in motion and always changing. It is deemed “Medicine” because in the Native traditions, anything that is “good”, such as food, talking, dancing and ceremony, is considered to be healing to mind, body and spirit. The circle also serves to remind us that we all work together as equals as we travel and grow at all levels of our being. A Medicine Wheel is usually placed where earth energy is strong. We have built our Medicine Wheel on top of the vortex.

The act of constructing a Medicine Wheel is a ritual ceremony, done with respect and love, built stone by stone. We create sacred space by prayer and purification. We are aware of Mother Earth, Father Sun and Grandmother Moon. We honor the four points of the compass; the four elements of Earth, Water, Fire and Air; and the four power animals of Serpent, Jaguar, Hummingbird and Eagle; and place stone sentinels to mark the directions. We place a center stone to symbolize the Creator and our connection to all life. We employ ritual symbols of sacred geometry to communicate with Spirit. Through ceremony, we learn to give back.

As we painstakingly gather stones one by one from the mountain (which she lovingly gives up to us); as we use tools both primitive and progressive to methodically measure and map out our patterns and design; as we clear the land to declare its destiny and bury our prayers to confirm it, we do it with a sense of purpose and mission. We do this as a family; a community. This is not about any one of us as individuals; it is about all of us as One.

Shamanism is founded on the principle that the visible world is saturated with unseen forces and energies that influence us. As we travel around the Medicine Wheel of Life, we experience many different positions and changing perspectives. We know that Mother Earth will support us and that it is our responsibility to support her. We  know that when we attain balance and inner peace as individuals, we  achieve world peace together and come to experience heaven on earth.

From Thought to Form

Category: Law of AttractionPatricia @ 11:06 am

I stroll along the water’s edge. The waves lap at my feet and splash against the shore. Chilly yet inviting. My toes sink into the wet sand. It holds me securely as I gaze out to sea. Such beauty in my world. The islands stretch along the horizon, peeking out from the haze. Behind me the Topa Topas mountains rise.  To my right are the foothills and to my left is Boney Ridge. Home. I am surrounded by the beauty of nature. It feeds my soul. Wow! I am lucky to call the Gold Coast of California my home!

Gratitude fills me. Gratitude for my life. My family and friends. I have such love in my life. Such joy and abundance. I am blessed beyond words.

I walk. I watch. A few people pass by and nod in greeting. Dogs joyfully chase sticks and wag their tails. Birds cry and dive and scurry. The winged ones.  My beach. My world. I am so thankful for all that I have and all that I am.

I look down and something catches my eye. Among the stones strewn about by the tide, there is one shaped like a heart. I reach out to pick it up, struck by the awesome beauty of manifestation…of thought into form; of God’s presence in my life; of the Law of Attraction and the power to create. I cry and dance and sing out “Thank You! Thank you for this gift!”

All thought comes into form. It happens with focus. Pay attention! There are treasures to discover. Whatever you are thinking about, you are creating.

Natural High

Category: AddictionsPatricia @ 12:19 pm

The body’s impulse for pleasure is never wrong. We are wired to seek experiences of joy and happiness in a physical form. It’s the way the body expresses well-being. Our desire for comfort is a form of yearning. Sometimes, we don’t know how to find that comfort. When we don’t have the ability to choose healthy ways to achieve that pleasure and contentment, we create destructive pleasure habits. Whether it’s to relax and chill out, get a boost or just feel good, we often turn to chemical stimulants.

“In an average week, Americans drink 1 billion cups of coffee, 3.4 million cups of tea, 4.5 billion sugared or caffeinated soft drinks, 2.3 billion alcoholic drinks; smoke 8.25 billion cigarettes and consume 400,000 tons of sugar, and 20 million pounds of chocolate. On top of this we take 20 million antidepressants, puff our way through 25 million joints, and pop 1 million tabs of Ecstasy.” Counselor Magazine “New Therapeutic Approaches: Alternative Treatments for Addictions” published 5/31/2003

Cass and Holford reported those statistics in Natural Highs (2002). In this report, they write about the impact and effectiveness of alternative, holistic strategies. It is obvious there is a need for a new way of overcoming life’s challenges.

Current research in neuroscience shows that throughout our lives, we continue to change the way we think, and therefore, we change our beliefs.  We can change the way we behave. And we can make that change without feeling anxious or sad or deprived! In my practice, I use two modalities to achieve change; hypnosis and EFT. Using the powerful mind-body connection, we can expect to see a shift in perspective and actions. These connections are supported through numerous scientific disciplines including: psychoneuroimmunology, epigenetics, interpersonal neurobiology, and neuroplasticity.

Hypnotherapy allows for the resolution of the issues that created the addictive behavior in the first place. Through behavior and perception modification, people learn to cope better and develop an improved sense of self-esteem and confidence. We are able to learn new beliefs and boundaries. We can let go of destructive behaviors and the need for mood-altering substances. With behavioral epigenetics, healing takes place on a cellular level. When we change our thoughts, we change our bodies. By achieving a relaxed state, we become receptive to new ideas and suggestions that are beneficial to us. We begin to see ourselves in a new way. We dream our world into being.

Self-hypnosis can also help boost a person’s motivation to change through self-suggestion. It can help us to connect to internal strengths we may have forgotten, as well as provide self-control. Self-hypnosis has been endorsed for stress reduction by addiction counselors, therapists, psychologists, social workers and psychiatrists. The efficacy of hypnosis is no longer a question of belief.

Since addiction is a multi-faceted problem, Energy Psychology in the form of Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) or meridian tapping, can address both causes and effects of the addiction. For instance, cravings are often caused by a desire to reduce anxiety. When we understand the trigger which causes the craving, there is no longer a need to relieve it through the addictive behavior. We learn to make a different choice.

We need to re-invent ourselves and we’re not sure we want to do that. “I can’t live with it and I can’t live without it”. EFT can be used to reinforce and focus upon the positive benefits. It can also be used to eliminate the fears and any perceived sense of loss or deprivation associated with giving up the addiction.

No one likes change. When an addict has to face change, denial and resistance are the best forms of defense. Using the Choices Method of EFT, we are able to shift our focus to the solution rather than the problem.

Freedom from addiction is life-affirming pleasure. Pleasure is a good thing. It’s a natural high!

Happy NOW Year!

Category: MotivationPatricia @ 2:53 pm

Happy NOW Year!  A NOW Year is a lot different than a New Year. You can begin it and celebrate it again and again…every moment of the day. There is an old saying, “Today is the first day of the rest of your life.”  NOW is the moment of your life.  If you made a New Year’s resolution to start or stop doing something or to do something in a different way, and you haven’t been successful yet, it’s okay. You get to start again NOW. When you are present in the NOW, you OWN it. You’ve WON!

The Present Moment

Category: Positive ThinkingPatricia @ 11:17 am

“Confine yourself to the present.” ~ Marcus Aurelius (121-180 AD)

Marcus Aurelius believed happiness was to be achieved by living “according to nature” in harmony with the principle which orders the universe. A Roman emperor and philosopher who composed bits of wisdom in a work called Meditations, he believed that the serenity of someone who lived in the present moment could not be affected by misfortunes of the past or the fear of the future.

Have you considered this? When you’re thinking about the past, you’re thinking about it now. When you’re thinking about the future, you’re thinking about it now. There is only the now.

Your thoughts are a constant stream of consciousness. They exist in the moment. And you are in control of your thoughts…in the moment. When you think about things in the past that disturb you, you create the same vibrational energy that you felt during that time in the past. Law of Attraction responds to your vibrational thought energy right now. The Universe responds to your focus and how you are feeling about it. Do you want to re-create past problems?

You get what you’re thinking about. When you think about things in the past that make you happy, you get the benefit of re-creating that vibrational energy now. When you’re thinking the happy thoughts in the present, it insures that you will be receiving more happy thoughts in the future!

“The only way to deal with the future is to function efficiently in the now.” ~ Gina Bellin

Healing the Waters

Category: Law of Attraction,Positive ThinkingPatricia @ 11:09 am

Sometimes we can be overwhelmed by the news of the day. We feel helpless, frustrated, angry. Right now, most of us are suffering negative emotions whenever we consider what is happening in the Gulf of Mexico. The natural and economic damages done by the oil spill are catastrophic. Although our emotions are justified, we may be of greater assistance to our planet if we sincerely, powerfully and humbly focus on what we want.

Dr. Masaru Emoto, author of Hidden Messages in Water, has done extensive research about the characteristics of water and how, among other things, water physically responds to emotions. In light of the disaster, he has proposed the following prayer for the Gulf situation.

“I send the energy of love and gratitude to the water and all the living creatures in the Gulf of Mexico and its surroundings.

To the whales, dolphins, pelicans, fish, shellfish, planktons, corals, algae and all living creatures…..I am sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you. I love you.”

We are not powerless. We are powerful. Our united energy, speaking this prayer daily…multiple times daily….can literally create a shift in the balance of destruction. Thoughts create things.

We don’t need to understand “how”. We just need to believe in the power of love, which is greater than any power active in the Universe today.

Your Genes are a Blueprint

Category: Fitness,HabitsPatricia @ 10:37 am

Cell biologist, research scientist and former Stanford medical school professor, Dr. Bruce Lipton, author of Biology of Belief: Unleashing the Power of Consciousness, Matter, & Miracles, says that our genes are nothing more than a blueprint. He states that our thoughts can activate changes in the activity of the cell membrane, and thus alter our health and our life. In fact, he states bluntly that by changing our subconscious programming we can influence cell membrane function. Lipton says, “Genes are remarkable molecules, but they are only blueprints that are activated by signals from the cell membrane”, and therefore, “we are not victims of our genes, but masters of our fate.”

This research about the processes by which cells receive information may radically change our understanding of life. It shows that DNA is controlled by environmental signals from outside the cell, including the energetic messages emanating from our subconscious mind in the form of positive and negative thoughts. The cell’s membrane, Lipton says, is where “consciousness and matter interact”. Considered to be a major breakthrough in cell biology and quantum physics, this research shows that our bodies can be changed when we change our thoughts.

The mystic healer Edgar Cayce once said, “Remember that thoughts are things, and as their currents run, they can become crimes or miracles.”

If our genes are a blueprint, our mind is the contractor. What kind of a body have you built? Are you healthy? Are you physically fit? Is it time for a re-model? I can help you to access your most powerful tool…your subconscious mind. Are you ready to do some trance-formational work? It all begins with a thought. The Mind Matters.

Life is Change

Category: ChoicesPatricia @ 2:49 pm

“Life is change. Growth is optional. Choose wisely.”                           — Karen Kaiser Clark

Life is constantly changing due to many factors beyond our control. We can not stop time. Imagine yourself five years from now. Do you appear the same? Do you have the same level of wealth? Do you see yourself as sick or destitute? Do you imagine yourself as healthy and successful? In essence, you can stay the same; you can suffer and be a failure; you can enjoy great abundance and prosperity. Most would consciously choose abundance and prosperity. Unfortunately, some of us, subconsciously, are choosing to stay stagnant or worse!

You have the power to decide how you live your life. You determine the level of joy you experience. It’s all as simple as choosing your thoughts. Choose to focus on what you want, NOT on what you don’t want! If you’re worrying about something, you’re planning for something you don’t want to happen. When you focus on solutions, you solve problems. Decide on a positive outcome and take the necessary steps to achieve it.

Your mind is a garden. Your thoughts are the seeds. You can choose to harvest flowers or choose to grow weeds. Spring is a time of new beginnings and growth. It’s a time to prepare our gardens for a bountiful harvest. What are you planting?

Prana…the “absolute energy” that fills the spaces between atoms

Category: Energy BodyPatricia @ 5:11 pm

Quantum physics shows that what we perceive as solid matter is actually 99.9999% empty space filled with energy.  (If one atom of the physical body were the size of an apple, the closest atom next to it would be 2000 miles away.)

This brings us to the concept of prana, the energy that fills the spaces between atoms.

In Sanskrit, prana means “absolute energy”. It is the force that pervades all being, connecting all living things and all energy matter. In the Hindu concept, prana is made from sunlight and air. As it is drawn into the etheric body, the seven atoms that compose prana separate and each travels to the chakra it nourishes. The chakras draw prana or vitality into the extended body through the solar plexus chakra, which is the hub of a 10-spoked wheel, distributing the prana color rays.

As a hypnotherapist, I use the practice of pranayama by aiding my clients in the practice of focus on the breath. By taking deep, full breaths, the amount of air that enters and flows is increased. This very action stimulates the power of healing, balance and well-being by directing maximum prana to all the chakras, resulting in healing throughout the extended body.

When there is an excess or deficiency in prana flowing through a given chakra or throughout all energy centers, an imbalance occurs. It manifests in emotional discomfort or physical disease in an area and a form reflective of the chakra which is out of harmony. Healing takes place on all levels of the extended energy body before physical well-being manifests. Remember all matter is energy.

Crystal Power

Category: Crystals & GemstonesPatricia @ 12:51 pm

Have you ever used the power of a crystal or gemstone? Actually, you are most likely using this power, maybe on a daily basis, and are unaware of it.

Do you wear a watch or have a wall clock at home? Do you wind it? Do you plug it in to electricity? Or is it powered by quartz, which synchronizes accurate time by vibration?

Do you listen to the radio? All radio transmitting uses quartz to communicate broadcast frequencies. You dial in to a particular vibrational frequency.

Have you taken a biology class where you were required to use a microscope? Have you experienced an ultrasound procedure? Both technologies use quartz crystal.

Have you had laser surgery to correct your eyesight? Quartz crystal is used to transmit and focus energy in all laser technology.

Have you gazed at the stars through a telescope? Quartz crystal is used to transmit whole spectrum light in optical lenses.

Do you use a credit card? Do you store information in your computer? Quartz crystal…silicon dioxide … is used for that purpose.

It is obvious that crystal has properties that allow it to store, transmit, transform, focus and amplify energy. Science has been using this technology for years by producing synthetic quartz crystals with the same atomic structures and properties as their natural counterparts.

Imagine the power of the energy available in the natural form, where each crystal system, obeying the Law of Attraction, gathers together those atoms which can vibrate together in unison and harmony, producing a form…a crystal… an aggregation of atoms.

When we send our intentions through the crystal, the vibration of that thought is amplified, bringing it nearer to physical manifestation. It is your thought energy, your mental body, which activates the power of crystals.

Quantum physics shows that what we perceive as solid matter is actually 99.9999% empty space filled with energy.  (If one atom of the physical body were the size of an apple, the closest atom next to it would be 2000 miles away.) By understanding that all matter is energy, it is easier to understand how people can interact with crystal.

The ancients may not have been aware of quantum physics, but they understood something about energy and color. They used crystals and gemstones to harness the cosmic forces. As we continue to do today, they adorned their bodies with stones.

The legends of quartz crystal as a healing tool are world wide, crossing every culture from Japan to North America, from Africa to ancient Rome.

The oldest legends and lore lead back to Lemuria and Atlantis. It is supposed that this advanced race used crystals to channel and control the cosmic current. Legends state that the survivors of Atlantis began anew and continued to perpetuate the knowledge of crystals in Egypt, South America and Tibet. They built pyramids using crystalline theories.

An Egyptian hieroglyphic papyrus more than 4000 years old described medical treatments using gemstones. Complete therapeutic manuscripts dated 1500 BC called “Papyrus Ebers” give detailed prescriptions using gems and minerals. The Egyptians were the first to use ground up gemstones such as malachite and lapis as a cosmetic.

A text derived from the Alexandrian School of Greece written by Theophrastus (372-286 BC) was quoted by the Roman historian Pliny (23-79 AD) in some of the earliest writings on the power of crystals.

The ancient Greeks regularly meditated by visualizing five three-dimensional, geometric shapes known as the Platonic Solids. They believed they could alter their consciousness and achieve mystical experiences. The five shapes – tetrahedron, cube, octahedron, dodecahedron and icosahedron – all occur naturally in crystals.

It is recorded in Exodus that a breastplate made of twelve precious jewels, (signifying the 12 tribes of Israel) combined specifically together in four rows, and worn over the heart, would endow the wearer with the power of God. It is recorded as being divinely inspired and having incredible spiritual powers.

Early works on astrology, written in Sanskrit and dating back as early as 400 BC, make elaborate observations on the origin and power of stones.

Incas and Mayans knew gemstone and crystal work. Native American Hopi shamans use crystals for diagnosis as well as treatment of disease, as do Cherokee, Apache, Navaho and other native peoples. They believe crystals are home to supernatural forces.
